Its a walking stick and road guide system which helps visually disabled people walking and guide them through the path system with infrared sensors thats placed on the start and end points of the road, those Infrared sensors are controlled by a microprocessor which allows the user to follow the route by giving an voice warning as a result of the information received from the sensors. With this Project a new stick and cane design for the visually disabled people were performed. The Deputy Director of the Ministry of Family and Social Policies Halis Kuralay with his staff have visited the Technology Transfer Office and tried the walking stick project and found it successful.
 

The officials of the Ministry of Family and Social Policies and Governorship of Istanbul Informatics Commission examined the work of the Technology Transfer Team.

The Deputy Provincial Director of the Ministry of Family and Social Policies, Halis Kuralay and his team used this Technological cane design for visually impaired people state project, which was completed in the Technology Transfer Office. Within our project, a new road stick design and a new cane design were realized for visually impaired people.
 

The Provincial Deputy Director of the Ministry of Family and Social Policies Halis Kuralay and his team experimented the stick on the newly designed surface at Istanbul Gelişim university.

Prof. Dr. Ali OKATAN, Assoc. Dr. Mustafa Emre AYDEMİR, Exp. Ali ÇETİNKAYA, Exp. Tuğba SARAY ÇETİNKAYA, Furkan YILMAZ, Umut UZ, Muhammet Ömer ERDOĞAN, Muhammet Mustafa YURDAKUL and Muhammet Kerem TÜRKEŞ took part of this project. The project was found successful in the evaluation process. Halis Kuralay and his team ensured that they would like to take part in the future processes of the project.
 

This project showed participation in the contest with the Turkish Patent and Trademark Patenting Institutions in Turkey.
