Magnetic Field Tracking Cane For Visually Disabled People


It is a cane and guideway system that allows people with visual impairment to follow the route by giving a vibration warning as a result of the information from magnetic sensor which controlled by the microprocessor on the magnetic guide path placed on the road.
 
The Deputy Director of the Ministry of Family and Social Policies, Halis Kuralay and his team visited the Technology Transfer Office to exchange ideas and they  found the Project successful.
 
Both disabled and normal people were interviewed for rumble strips guide roads were observed with both disabled and normal people and It was observed that it caused stumbling on the walking paths. In addition, it is concluded that they may increase sliding in winter. The aim of the invention is to provide the visually disabled people with a comfortable way to find their way in the open and closed areas.
 
In this way, without the danger of sticking or sliding on the floor and without the help of anyone else's it helps them to find the direction by a cane and a magnetic plate, and it can completely eliminate the possibility of dropping by putting a sticky sandpaper surface on the magnetic plate.
 
This project showed participation in the contest with the Turkish Patent and Trademark Patenting Institutions in Turkey.
