The PİRİTA-Artificial Intelligence-Assisted 3D Mapping Project, developed by Istanbul Gelisim University by making a strategic contribution to Türkiye's technological development, achieved a great success by reaching the final in the Research Project of the Year: stem category at THE Awards Asia 2025, one of the most prestigious higher education rankings in the world. With the PİRİTA project, IGU is the only Turkish Foundation University to reach the finals at THE Awards Asia 2025 organized by the UK-based international higher education rating agency Times Higher Education (THE) .

Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Technology Transfer Office (TTO), which stands out with its many projects and collaborations in scientific and technological fields, continues its activities. At the MÜSİAD Expo 2024 Fair held between 26-29 November, the Rector Prof. Bahri Şahin, Vice Rector in Charge of R&D Prof. Necmettin Maraşlı visited the IGU TTO booth. Prof. Bahri Şahin was informed about the latest status of the projects carried out by the Technology Transfer Office and the intense interest of the visitors to the booth during the fair.
