The system of project reduces the crushing severity, with an auxiliary brake system which allows the vehicle to reduce the severity of the collision automatically in places that the probability of collision is increased.
It is designed as an intelligent auxiliary braking system that can be installed independently to the intended part of the vehicle to increase its braking ability of the existing brake system.
Its purpose is to increase the braking capability in addition to existing brake system. In this way, it decreases the possibility of the crushing in the case of an accident.
The system has been installed on Babayiğit electric vehicle which is a project that has been implemented in our university with the support of TÜBİTAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey). The project was carried out successfully and the improvements are still ongoing.
